Dancing Museums #2
2018 – 2021
Dancing Museums – The Democracy of Beings aims to examine how dance enables new ways of perceiving and experiencing art and heritage. Designed as a three-year project, it fosters collaboration between six dance organizations, seven artists, nine museums, and two research centers from seven European countries. Together, artists, museum teams, and dance organizations imagine and explore new methods of dialogue and interaction with audiences. Rather than presenting performances, the project seeks to explore, through dance, new living connections between audiences and museums, so that museums can become spaces for sharing.
This new collaboration builds on the previous project Dancing Museums (2015–2017).

Museum of Human E-Motions
As a satellite project of Dancing Museums, Museum of Human E-Motions extends the collaboration between Europe and Asia. After two initial editions that enabled the associated artists to take part in residencies and create in situ proposals at each partner venue, the health crisis imposed new forms of artistic connection. Artists therefore imagined new exchanges through five online residencies. Their research, supported by dramaturg Monica Gillette, culminated in a public event that was also held online.
